15 minutes of fame

So this week i found my two most practical senses being strangely aware of myself.

My ears
finally after a year, the student radio had begun. on tuesday we went into the studio and were taught the basics. our show
the in-tro 33 show, had the beginning of the pilot recorded. 15mins in total. it was no done live as i expected and adding a loop in the background as well as fading in and out took some getting used to.
furthermore me jamie and claude had never even spoken on a radio station, so it took us 5 takes to do the opening 30seconds, when you first start talking you sound like your on a telephone at a business call and the 3 of you are talking to this person, stumbling over eachother and leaving large gaps of silence. hearing the takes was a weird sensation, the words made from your mouth are being transcribed onto a computer and soon people will listen. and download and have you on there ipods and laptops. a piece of you will be taken and immortalised forever onto the internet.
hopefully next week we can finish the pilot and i can upload it on here.

my eyes.
in summer i joined a casting company to try get money as i was not gunna work at sainsburys.
my first job was a mcflurry advert full of suits and office workers i was not seen.
the second was 4 seperate days filming for the new e4 hit misfits.
tonight as i watched the 4rd episode in the opening 5 minutes i saw myself and i had the weirdest feeling.
i was on tv, u watch tv for your whole life and now you are on to immortalised yet again.
of course photos and memories are long lasting, but this was seen by millions of people.
u feel proud but then you realise ppl do this for a living its not a big deal and anyone u tell will not care that much as it is basically boasting.
so i shall vent it on here with a picture i took of it ( i didn't realise how big my mouth is)

Stream of Consciousness I

I return home for a brief stay, it has been the longest i have not slept in my own bed. 8 weeks
last year i came home every 3/4 weeks to see my girl friend.
now she goes to caridff, which is amazing ! and i have my car so it is only 2 hour drive to get 150 miles to her halls. i shall be travelling up there this coming wednesday, so see her and tend to her sprained ankle.
My course has stepped up, with more compulsory seminars and workshops, which i have managed to manipulate so i have nothing on a thursday and 1 lecture on a friday allowing me to visit gemma in cardiff wednesday till sunday.
it is now only 3 weeks untill i finish and then a month of christmas holidays.
xfm winterwonderland has already been booked =], i shall finally get to see temper trap despite only downloading them in august and really starting to listen to them after seeing 500 days of summer.
My friend marcus text me and we may be gonig to his timeshare in lanzerotte for a week to a sports complex in april. which would be amazing and kinda of counts as africa so i click off another continent i've beeen too.

i have this urge to travel all of a sudden, i have discussed with chris and marcus taking part in the three peak challenge of climbing ben nevis, scarfed pike and snowden in under 24hours. mine and chris's dad's have done it. i want to bring a video camera and record it as well.

and next symmer perhaps get an inner european railcard and travel, i would ideally like to travel with gemma.
for my 18th birthday my mum paid for us both to go to venice for 5 days and that was amazing this picture above is at an american bar which we luckily managed to get into during happy hour. the ceilings was filled with bras of all the colours of the rainbow.

i have nearly accomplished my new years resoultion of immortalising myself on tv.
in march i got a job as being a tv extra and managed to work a few days on the filming of a tv show called Misfits which is just out on e4. the third episode looks to be a club scene so hopefully i shall see myself, and boast anyone who does or doesn't mention they watch it.

At the start of my second year of uni i decided to join some societies, half of which i realised where to clicky and you had to be good to be accepted and enjoy it.
i took up atheltics which i stopped after one time... for reasons above.
and wakeboarding which only takes 4 ppl at a time on boat sessions and with a club of 80 ppl and stormy weather it looks more and more unlikely i shall do it.

however my friend emily's bf tom is going to sell me his wakeboard so in summer time i will get a memebership at the wakeboard cable centre,

last weekend was a great Univeristy tour, seieng gabis uni on the thursdya with caroline and dancing to matt hornes dj set which was pretty awesome then friday having them and alex and emily join me in plymouth, however the weather conditions of wind and rain and a false fire alarm in the su forced it to be not the best night, but to end it all was a most enjoyable night in exeter at the firehoue and cavern.
with danny and bryony. that topped it off having those people and jamie from home and uni. in one place.

now i sit here watching comic relief feeling better about my self having donated £5.00

i am reading the diving bell and the butterfly a truely remarkable story of a man who develops lock in syndrome (look it up !) and manages to write a book communicating with just the flicker of an eyelid.

i have also joined the gym and go twice a week, the catayslt for me joining was a health lecture on all the benefits of exercise. and i must admit after going i feel alot better.
10km bike ride, 2km run and 2km rowing. just makes you feel good saying that you have done it.

i experiment listening to different genres of music, i find cycling to high contrast is very good as the 'drop' increases speed.
whilst running i listen to some rock/emo such as lostprophets.
and rowing i have yet to listen as the contast movement of every limb does not help hold headphones in.

i think this is just about every thing that has been on my mind at the moment.

o and also i don't know what i want for christmas as i don't need anything

Lucky 19

Ever since i have turned 19 in july it seems that i have been excessively lucky.

I won £76 on the lottery

At a bar in plymouth i got 2free drinks cause the bartender had to break a fight up and forgot about us paying

I won 2 tickets on nme radio to see advance screening of new moon in lesicester square

Plymouth univeristy gave me a bursiary for no reason

ummm yer. i haven't written on this in a while i intend to change that but the bad luck of having a laptop which has apparently 2000 viruses is causing me to whore out other peoples computers

Each town that i go..

ok so there is this band called

Naive New Beaters

and they are epic, my friend caroline listened to them and introduced them to me as they were playing at benicasim 09 and we went and saw them.
consisting of 3 members, a 70's style guitarist, 80's keyboardist and the singer.
they entertained the audience with sparklers and glitter thrown from their pockets as well as synchronised dance moves.
NNB are are a french trio, which i compare to the blood hound gang, mushed together with the teenagers.

they are on spotify and there album 'Wallace' was released earlier this year.

my favorite songs are 'Live good' and 'Can't Choose'
they are just good fun so have a listen
